3D Printer - Maker Labs

Jessica - the Tech Coordinator and Science Teacher at Oakland Hebrew Day School (OHDS) - recently shared her plans for remaking the school's archaic computer lab into a really cool Multi Use Area and Maker Space. (Thanks to Michael Cohen at Hillel Hebrew for finding the green screen set: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009G6Y1Q8/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1  a really great deal on Amazon)

Now, in my opinion, every maker space needs a 3D printer... but how to afford it??

To answer this problem...In steps the MOD-t from New Matter.  This revolutionary design has a 3D printer for.... wait for it..... $249.00!!!!!!  You must watch the video to see how their "unit is different from all other units".... (Pasover joke.....)   http://youtu.be/CGfLxACv3Qs  After watching the video, let me know what you think about their idea of "social media-izing" the designs.

Here is the link to their fundraising INDIEgogo site... www.indiegogo.com/projects/new-matter-mod-t-a-3d-printer-for-everyone

If my wife will let me, I am going to purchase one of these!!  (Maybe if I buy her a new shaitel first.... hmmmm....)

As always, your comments are solicited.  Please feel free to repost/retweet/scream-from-a-rooftop!

Regards to all... (and to my fellow Jewish readers - have a great festival of Shavuot!!)
